Objectives

Our key purpose is that children, young people and their families are supported on their life journey through strong and supportive befriending and mentoring relationships. Becoming more resilient and self aware, better equipped to reach their full potential and being able to deal positively with their life challenges is our vision for everyone we support.

An organisation where everyone; Board, staff and volunteers seek to live by our values.

A registered charity and Company Limited by Guarantee we have a passion to see change in our communities through the power of supportive trusting relationships.

Activities

We offer one-to-one and group befriending and mentoring throughout South Lanarkshire.

At the heart of what we do are committed and passionate volunteers choosing to help children, young people and families.

For everyone involved we seek five key outcomes that will positively affect their lives:

  • Improved Self-Confidence: Setting goals, working towards them
  • Increased Self-Esteem: Learning to trust, be open and make positive choices
  • Less Isolated: Better connected to the community, family, friends, and services
  • Improved Well-being: Healthier physically and psychologically, more active and emotionally stable
  • Increased Skills & Interests: Improved life skills and a greater interest in work, education and personal interests

We offer a range of services tailored to meet the needs of those we work with -

  • 1-1 befriending/mentoring for young people and families aiming to build resilience and confidence
  • Early and effective intervention for young people aged 8-14 at risk of offending
  • Group befriending for young people and parents/carers with a focus on outcomes
