Cotton Shed is an inclusive theatre company and charity based in Rossendale, East Lancashire. We offer inclusive performing arts to all children, young people and adults, no matter what their background, experiences or needs. We offer a safe and stimulating theatre environment which allows each individual to learn new skills, build confidences and showcase their talents. No one is excluded at Cotton Shed, only celebrated.
Set up in 2007 our vision was to create an inspirational, imaginative, inclusive theatre in East Lancashire. Everybody has something to offer and Cotton Shed provides a safe place that celebrates everyone’s unique talents and realises everyone’s aspirations. Our workshops increase social inclusion, build strong relationships between participants, are incredibly supportive and very welcoming.
At Cotton Shed we encourage participants to think creatively to help fulfil their potential. Our weekly sessions have a huge impact on the lives of people in Rossendale and throughout East Lancashire and we know that when people from all backgrounds and with all abilities come together, acceptance and inclusion is embedded, creating a more positive community.
