COSCA is Scotland's professional body for counselling and psychotherapy and is supported by the Scottish Government to carry out its work. It aims to advance counselling and psychotherapy and provide greater access to these services for those who are distressed, bereaved, depressed, anxious and all those who would benefit from being listened by those trained to do so. It aims to set standards for the training and professional practice of counsellors and psychotherapist and to ensure the public protection of clients when receiving the services of our members.
COSCA provides information to the public on how to access counsellors and psychotherapists. It provides support and help to its members (individuals and organisations) about the ethical practice of counselling and psychotherapy.
