Objectives

Corali is a leader in dance created by artists with a learning disability.  We have been empowering people with a learning disability using dance, creativity and performance for over 30 years.

Our vision is that people with a learning disability are recognised and valued for their equal place in the arts and society.  Our aim is to help our dancers understand and develop their potential, provide them with the skills and support to flourish as artists and individuals and enable them to become vital role models for others.  We want to inspire people and change perceptions of disability.

We seek to develop and showcase the talents of our artists through original, high quality performance and film work and extend our impact through a dynamic engagement programme, bringing our work into schools and community settings.

Activities

Corali produces original, devised performances in a variety of settings, from major, high profile arts venues, to community and site-specific spaces.  We have an adult performance company and a youth company, Kick Up, for young dancers aged 14-25.

Corali offers ongoing professional development and training opportunities and delivers an annual programme of engagement and outreach activities for ages 8 to adult, enabling us to bring our work to many more people.

We work mainly in London but also take our performances and workshops to other parts of the country and occasionally internationally.  We reach a live audience of around 2000 people per year and thousands more through our digital work.
