Objectives

The Coneyburrow Trust is an exciting environmental and educational organisation, active in the borough of Tunbridge Wells.  It is not yet a registered charity however, it has community support and local partners plus initial funding in place.  

The role of the Coneyburrow Trust (CBT) is to support and improve the wooded and natural areas of Tunbridge Wells with an emphasis on the therapeutic benefits of access to nature, for mental and physical wellbeing, and environmental education for local residents and others across Kent.  

Activities

  • improving physical and intellectual access to Sherwood Park and Lake and other forest sites in the Tunbridge Wells area so that the heritage and environment is open to all.
  • conserving and improving the woodlands and wider landscape with and for local residents
  • a programme of activities, events and learning opportunities to engage and involve local communities and beyond
  • ioutreach work with local communities, residents and schools in the delivery of specific projects at each location 
  • an education programme around STEM subjects 
  • an engaging programme and creative activities, events and education at key sites 
  • developing stakeholder groups to build partnerships that sustain the long-term future of Coneyburrow Trust
