Objectives

Community Cook Up was set up in 2017, principally to provide a warm welcome and a hot meal for homeless people, and people in temporary accommodation, in the Northumberland Park area of Tottenham. Since then, the group has grown hugely and now welcomes people dealing with a range of challenges or simply looking for company. We meet once a week on Thursdays.

Activities

We offer a substantial hot meal to all-comers (currently about 50 adults, but the numbers are steadily increasing), as well as second-hand clothing, particularly coats and hats in winter, and sometimes toiletries and other necessities. We are also developing an advocacy service to provide advice and support on a wide range of issues, particularly housing and benefits.
