Objectives

Community Alcohol Partnerships (CAP) is a Community Interest Company (CiC) whose aim is to prevent underage drinking and the resulting harm to local communities. Our beneficiaries are therefore young people, those public sector organisations that deal with underage drinking and associated harms, residents, schools and retailers. Our projects have delivered measurable reductions in underage sale/purchase of alcohol with associated benefits on harm to young people and alcohol-related crime and anti social behaviour.

Activities

Training of retailers and provision of Challenge 25 signage (to help prevent underage sales of alcohol)

  • Funding for alcohol education
  • Enhancing provision of diversionary activity for young people
  • Encouraging a partnership approach to problem solving
