Objectives

CASS, as a charity was built to provide support for people who are either elderly and/or disabled. Since CASS's start in 1998, the number of services CASS provides has increased, due to the demand of its support users. Currently CASS offers support to users with the intention to relieve the inhabitants of the London Boroughs of Islington, Hackney, Tower Hamlets, Newham, Barking and Dagenham and the surrounding area who are in need because of age, mental or physical disability or poverty in particular, but not exclusively by the provision of advice, support and training services.

Activities

At CASS, most services are free, a small fee is charged on services which require manual labour of volunteers, as well as covering volunteer expenses such as travel. Befriending/escorting services, gardening, handyman/minor repairs, painting and decorating are just a few services on offer. Advocacy on issues such as housing, homelessness, benefits and tax credits information is also available.
