Objectives

We are a faith based community organisation set up to serve the community. We exist to use our gifts, talents and skills to serve our community by nurturing, empowering, equipping and raising up the next generation of leaders who are whole: spirit, soul and body from the ages of 11-30 and their families in Lewisham, Greenwich and neighboring boroughs.

Amongst the challenges young people and their families face, we aim to reduce:

  1. Mental Health Difficulties.
  2. Isolation and Loneliness.
  3. Unemployment.
  4. Food Insecurity and Deprivation.

We do this by:

  1. Offering a safe space for young people to be heard, understood and given the tools to create positive mental health.
  2. Offering a community environment where young people can develop social skills and make meaningful connections.
  3. Offering a bespoke mentorship programme where young people can gain knowledge, experience and skills for the desired career pathway.
  4. Offering short term food aid in the form of food parcels vouchers and also financial advice to eradicate the long term effects.

Activities

We execute our aims through 2 arms:

  1. Community Matters (Outreach to the Community): Open House - weekly Saturday drop in service for families to have access to essentials and advice; Undivided - our annual outdoor August bank holiday community day out that is focused on bringing the community together on a larger scale in comparison to Open House, this year will be our sixth one; we currently support 50 families in the community

  2. The Lighthouse Network Community (holistically nurturing, raising, equipping and empowering leaders between the ages of 16-30 with the tools they need to thrive in and through the transition to adulthood within the context of community): Mentorship; Community Hub Nights; Internships, Work experience, Trips to organisations like YouTube, Microsoft; Release Creative Therapeutic Support Groups; One to One Counselling, Mentoring and Coaching Sessions; Residentials and retreats; we currently support 40 young people who are engaging in our services
