Many people have never heard of a stoma before surgery, and in many cases a stoma may be unplanned. Information provided is often purely medical and may not deal with the emotional impact. We provide:

Support
Many people with a stoma quickly feel isolated. They may have no one in their lives who has a stoma, or understands what they are going through. We provide:
•24/7 helpline. You’ll talk to trained staff members, DBS checked and other ostomates
•Closed Facebook Group
•Pinpoint you to Support Groups + other organisations
•Tidings magazines with real stories and experiences
Encouragement
A stoma should never be a barrier to living your life. Anxiety about going out is common.The world at large does not understand the needs of people with a stoma.
•Helping to set up Support Groups
•Stoma Friendly Toilets in INTU and Sainsburys,Sporting Grounds and Salisbury City
•Chair yoga and archery for support groups
•Ostomate only swimming

Awareness
With a lack of awareness with the general public, we have teamed up with public organisations to provide more training around stoma needs.
