The purpose of the charity is to provide sustenance and support to persons who are rough sleeping; experiencing homelessness, in poverty and/or vulnerable. By utilising partnership working the charity assists with referring guests in need to collaborative organisations and health agencies and other statutory services who can provide longer term care and accommodation.
Whilst the charity predominantly focuses on the over 24 age group it does not discriminate should younger guests present and require assistance and/or guidance and in such cases the charity are able to make a direct referral into Centrepoint who has a member of staff present each evening at the drop in service.
The organisation currently runs an indoor, evening drop-in provision 7 nights a week, based at Centrepoint premises on Oldham Street where guests can access a wide range of facilities and support as follows:
In addition to the main activity of a 7 nights a week indoor drop-in provision, the charity also
maintain a food bank located in Salford for families/individuals experiencing food poverty and in
times of financial difficulties.
When guests have moved on into long term accommodation the charity also assist in directing charitable donations to indivduals to assist with will help with furnishing new homes.
