Objectives

The Charitable Object of the CLCI is 'The promotion and protection of health for the public benefit, in particular but not exclusively by advancing education in relation to immunisation programmes over the whole of the life-course.'

The beneficiaries of this approach are everyone in society from the individual who is protected from infectious disease and its side effects, through the family in which members who may have compromised immune systems and onto wider society which benefits from the 'herd effect'  and  the mitigation of the impact of anti-microbial resistance.

We pursue this charitable object by promotion of awareness among policy makers and politicians, health professionals and the public, of the importance of vaccination programmes for UK and wider European citizens of all ages.

Activities

We spread news of the importance of a thorough life approach to immunisation. Immunisation is not just for children, it's important for teenagers, pregnant mothers, senior citizens and everyone else life-long.  We seek to spread awareness through our website and other social media, publications, workshops, conferences and undertaking or managing research and publicising the results as widely as possible.
