Objectives

Clyne Heritage Society (CHS) is a community heritage organisation based in the parish of Clyne in Sutherland, Scottish Highlands. Formed in 1998, the Society is a registered charity and limited company, currently with 165 members (pre-Covid peak 214 members).  The one village in the parish, Brora, has a population of c 1200.

We provide an inclusive, community-focussed programme of popular and well-attended heritage activities a) for members of the Brora community and b) for the ever-expanding numbers of visitors following the North Coast 500 tourist route.

We are the custodians of heritage in the parish and we have an exciting £3.5m project to redevelop and extend a former parish school to create an integrated community heritage centre and visitor attraction, including a museum, café and retail outlet.
