Citizens Advice Watford aims to provide the advice people need for the problems they face, and improve the policies and practices which affect people's lives. We provide free, independent, confidential and impartial advice and information to people in the local community on their rights and responsibilities. We value diversity, promote equality and challenge discrimination.
Our service is delivered by a team of highly trained volunteer advisers, gateway assessors, receptionists and administrators, supported by a small number of paid staff. We are open to the public four days a week (Monday to Thursday 9.30am to 3.30pm), providing information and advice face to face and over the telephone. We work in partnership with other voluntary organisations in Watford to facilitate access to advice for members of the local community. Our volunteers undertake the highly regarded Citizens Advice Adviser Learning Programme to become generalist advisers in a wide range of subjects including welfare benefits, housing, debt, employment and consumer.
