Objectives

We exist to provide free, confidential, independent and impartial advice and support for people in the South West Surrey area experiencing a wide range of issues.

Activities

Our advice service covers many areas including: benefits, work, debt and money, consumer, housing, family and relationships, law and courts, immigration and health. We also campaign on the big issues that affect people’s lives and make the government aware of what they are. We rely on volunteers for this service and our goal is to increase the number of trained volunteers to meet the growing needs of the community. We are part of a national network of advisers who have been helping local people since 1939, when Citizens Advice opened some of its very first offices in Haslemere and Guildford and now includes more areas of Surrey.
