Geographical remit:

Citizens Advice Solihull Borough is a small charity providing information and advice helping residents in Solihull resolve their problems, including benefits, debt, employment and housing. We provide free and independent advice to help them solve the difficulties they face, and improve the policies and practices that affect their lives.

We helped 5914 people with 18660 issues last year. We are here for everyone on everything; whilst providing targeted support to the people who need it the most.  We help people to face the issues they have and support them through their journey.

For every £1 invested in our organisation we:
- £4.93 in fiscal benefits
- £26.59 in public value
- £31.71 in value for the people we help

We have 15 paid staff and 109 volunteers in our team delivering services across 13 sites.

We have 13 sites that people can access our service; 2 main sites Solihull and Chelmsley Wood and 11 outreach venues including GP surgeries and ASDA cafe.  When people cannot go to a venue we have both a local and national telephone service and a national website with lots of self-help information.

People who come to our service very rarely only have one problem.  We give information, self-help tools, signposting and referrals to other specialist agencies and specialist advice in 10 areas of law.  For areas that we do not cover we have partners who do.  We write letters, negotiate, interpret, mediate between parties , make phone calls, represent at Tribunal.
