Objectives

1.EVOLVE what we do.  Our community needs are ever changing and how and what we deliver has never been more important.

2.ENGAGE our team.  Citizens Advice Portsmouth wants everyone to achieve their full potential both personally and professionally. We also want Citizens Advice to be a good environment to work in.

3.SUPPORT our Community. We are a specialist service that compliments the generalist advice supplied by another organisation in our city. We want to support the people of Portsmouth and their needs, and we believe this would be best served if we were funded to cover both the generalist and specialist requirements. We want to play our part in making Portsmouth a beacon for citizen's rights, protection and respect.

Activities

We are a specialist service that compliments the generalist advice supplied by another organisation in our city. We want to support the people of Portsmouth and their needs and we believe this would be best served if we were funded to cover both the generalist and specialist requirements. We want to play our part in making Portsmouth a beacon for Citizen’s rights, protection and respect.

We will therefore:

1.   Ensure service excellence. We will:

·evaluate and resolve client complaints and make improvements as necessary

·achieve our performance targets for Money Advice, Universal Credit Help to Claim and generalist advice programmes.

2.   Research and campaign for change. We will contribute to research and campaigning work by our local and National Citizens Advice colleagues, in order to bring about change to improve the lives of our local communities.

3.   Understand our community needs and client profile. We will:

·perform regular analysis to understand how our services reflect our community needs and client profile, using information from sources such as Client Surveys, Casebook, local statistics, and Portsmouth City Council priorities.

·undertake research projects to better support our clients; for example, client waiting times, ‘revolving door’, optimal ways for client feedback, mental health ASK, digital exclusion

·involve our community when developing new projects; consult with service users.

4.   Further build on strategic partnerships. We will work with organisations who share our vision whilst not duplicating existing services.
