Objectives

Citizens Advice Harrow provides advice and information to the residents of Harrow in the following areas: debt; welfare benefits, employment; housing; education and healthcare; and family & personal issues.

Citizens Advice Harrow has 30 to 40 volunteers who regularly assist clients with their problems, for example managing debt and preventing homelessness.

Our volunteers won the 'Harrow Hero's Award' in 2014.

Activities

We provide access to pro bono solicitors on family matters and employment issues.

Outreach surgeries are held in the local children's centres, hospital and hospice.  Financial capability training is offered to clients, we also provide training in searching for the best energy deals or switching suppliers.

These strands of work increase the availability of legal assistance and access to help in locations other than the Citizens Advice Harrow offices.
