Objectives

We help people living in the Eastbourne area by offering free, independent, confidential advice and by campaigning on big issues affecting people's lives.  People come to us with all sorts of issues. You may have money, benefit, housing or employment problems you may be facing a crisis or just considering your options. Our goal is to help everyone find a way forward, whatever problem they face.

We are part of the Citizens Advice network across England and Wales but are an individual charity responsible for our own governance and fundraising.

Activities

We offer advice on a wide issues ranging from benefits, housing rights, money advice, employment rights, local services, family breakdown, immigration status, and many more. We offer a walk-in (no referral needed) service and assess people's needs to ensure the advice we offer is appropriate to all their needs, not just the presenting issues. We also provide advice by phone, on-line, and through video links in key community locations.  We campaign on local issues - such as specific employment practices - and on national policy issues - through our many local, regional and national networks.
