Objectives

Citizens Advice St Albans District (CASTAD)has served the district for 75 years by providing information and advice on a very wide range of topics to all sectors of the population. It is a registered charity, and a company limited by guarantee. We are a member of Citizens Advice (CitA) the operating name of the National Association of Citizens Advice Bureaux, which provides a framework for standards of advice and casework management, as well as monitoring progress against these standards. The Service aims:  to provide the advice people need for the problems they face  to improve the policies & practices that affect people's lives

Activities

St Albans District Citizens Advice Bureau helps resolve money, legal and other problems by providing advice and information, and by influencing policy-makers.  The service is independent and is provided to users regardless of age, race, religion, gender or sexual orientation.  It recognises the value of diversity, promotes equality and challenges discrimination. These principles are fully integrated and run throughout each of the aims of this business plan.
