Citizens Advice Bureaux deliver advice services from over 3,400 community locations in England and Wales, run by 343 individual charities. Citizens Advice itself is also a registered charity, as well as being the membership organisation for bureaux. Together we are the Citizens Advice service.
We want to make society fairer, ensuring people who need help can get the right kind at the right time. We have a clear vision - to be the first choice for advice and advocacy, solving problems and changing lives.
We provide free, independent, confidential and impartial advice to everyone on their rights and responsibilities. We value diversity, promote equality and challenge discrimination. The Citizens Advice aims to:
• Provide the advice people need for the problems they face
• Improve the policies and practices that affect people’s lives.
Using our values to guide us, Citizens Advice will:
- Focus on customers
- Achieve results
- Continuously improve
- Promote equality and fairness
- Value each other
- Work together
We are working to develop a workforce (paid staff and volunteers) made up of empowered people who are enabled to work in a culture that is inventive, responsible and generous.
