Objectives

Citizens Advice bureaux are independent, non-profit charities, supported by teams of specialist staff and trained volunteers that give free, confidential, impartial independent information and advice to their communities. The service aims to make this information and advice available to all, regardless of race, sex, disability, age or sexuality. It draws on its experience of client problems to suggest where improvements can be made to local and national policy. It is committed to equal opportunities for clients and for all the people working in bureaux, whether paid or voluntary.
