Our aim is to provide the advice people need for the problems they face. We provide free, confidential, impartial and independent advice and information on a wide range of subjects.
We work to resolve debt worries and help with claiming benefits entitlement. We can help with housing and employment problems, and deal with queries regarding consumer and tax issues.
We can assist on legal matters and answer questions about immigration, and can help with family and personal matters.
Our evidence base enables us to have a real impact on government policy, and we are strengthening it further by encouraging other agencies and the public to contribute to it.
We are part of the national Citizens Advice service, which provides the extensive information system we use to advise clients and sets audited standards for advice, training, equal opportunities and accessibility in the bureau. As a charity we are entirely independent, and the needs of our clients come ahead of anything else. We aim to be the obvious first port of call for anyone seeking any kind of advice; relied on by our clients to
link them up with the most appropriate source of help.
