Objectives

Citizens Advice in Dorset [‘CAiD’] is a consortium of the nine Citizens Advice Bureaux based in Dorset, Bournemouth and Poole. Each bureaux appoints a Trustee to CAiD’s strategic Board.
CAiD’s aim is to ensure that the people of Dorset, Bournemouth and Poole have access to the best possible advice services by promoting the work of the Citizens Advice Bureaux, and by supporting the development and growth of the service.
CAiD is ‘one voice’ for the CAB service in Dorset, Bournemouth and Poole.
CAiD actively seeks funding for the network.
CAiD aims to achieve more efficient working across the bureaux.
CAiD works with bureaux and other partners to develop services for the benefit of our clients.
CAiD keeps up to date with the external environment and develops relationships with funders.

Activities

Project Management: responsible for managing and reporting on joint projects delivered by bureaux and other partners including Healthwatch Doset, services in Children's Centres and the Lottery-funded 'Connecting Advice in Dorset' project.
Representing the bureaux on strategic fora such as the Better Together initiative across the local authorities (for implementing the Care Act).
Supporting the bureaux to improve and develop services.
