Objectives

Citizens Advice Bucks is a charity that works across Buckinghamshire to provide support to some 10,288 people with 36,000 problems each year. Our charity provides free advice that is legally accredited by the Advice Quality Standard, the Money and Advice Service and the Financial Conduct Authority. Our work helps everyone, everywhere with any problem, to find a way forward.

Unlike many charities that deal with people’s problems in pockets of their lives, we help people throughout their life course navigate the seemingly insurmountable. Whether it is helping people to learn how to manage their debts so their finances don’t spiral out of control, or negotiating with landlords and tenants to help improve relationships when they have broken down, or supporting people with claiming benefits they are entitled to but are struggling to claim. Our help reaches all corners of society, and prevents the breakdown of their financial, employment and housing situations to ensure that their situations remain stable. This has been never more needed then now. We have over 140 staff and volunteers, all working towards a fairer community.

Activities

We offer a range of services:

  • Debt advice
  • Housing advice
  • Benefits advice
  • Pensions advice

As well as helping out on many more holistic issues, like disability, mental health and social care. Our work impacts people from cradle to grave and supports them every step of their journey when life comes 'unstuck'.
