Objectives

Citizens Advice Blackpool provides advice on debt, welfare benefits, housing and a wide range of legal advice. We also campaign and gather evidence from our clients to help change policies that adversely affect people's lives.  In Blackpool we are a strategic organisation, working to represent the wider sector across health transformation and make the case for sustainable funding for social welfare advice in order to address health inequalities.  We provide advice to over 5000 people in Blackpool each year.  This advice helps people move forward in their lives; increases their income, alleviates the stress and anxiety associated with debt and financial problems, helps them resolve family disputes and gives them the information and confidence they need to exercise their rights.

Activities

We provide advice over the phone, in person and through email/webchat.

We advocate on behalf of clients and gather research data and stories to influence change

We work at a strategic level across Blackpool and The Fylde Coast to integrate services and design them based on the needs of our communities

We deliver Social Prescribing across 4 Primary Care Networks in partnership with other VCFSE infrastructure organisations
