Objectives

Christian Community Action Ministries (CCA) has been running for over 25 years and is well known and regarded within Reading and Berkshire. It’s main work is in the provision of household, nursery and other essential items for people who are facing hardship and disadvantage. CCA also runs a drop-in lunch club for people who are homeless or vulnerably housed. The organisation is funded by a mix of trading income from its five shops as well as donations from individuals and churches and grants.

During the Covid-19 crisis CCA shops have been forced to close and the charity has been providing a mobile emergency service to be able to continue providing services. Most of those who have been helped during this time are people who have been displaced and isolated due to the virus itself or through homelessness, domestic abuse or ill health.
