Objectives

Helping the local people of Chippenham as a place based grant making charity that dates back to Queen Mary in 1554.

The Chippenham Borough Lands Charity is an organisation that benefits the majority of Chippenham's population. Through funding, encouragement, and guidance, Chippenham Borough Lands ensures that all generations have the opportunity to grow and succeed. By benefiting the people of Chippenham and only those within the area, the Charity maintains high levels of support that aids the diverse groups in the town community.  

Activities

  • Grant making to schools circa 130K per year and individual education grants.
  • Welfare grants given for small items , mobility scooters or large items such as adaptations to homes (extensions),
  • Arts and events. and local groups.
  • Total grant making circa 300K.
  • Income comes from endowed investments.
