At CHILD UK we are passionate about changing lives by improving the social, physical and emotional health of children and young people from all backgrounds. We wholeheartedly aim to encourage greater participation in positive activities to create safer and healthier communities primarily through sports and performing arts. We have a proven track record in achieving a significant impact in local communities by working with groups of children and young people within a variety of settings. Gaining excellent results by applying our innovative provision of high quality positive activities, focusing on children and young people’s needs. Our primary outcomes include - increasing participation in our innovative programme of activities; encouraging healthy lifestyles; combating the challenges of young people's mental health; reducing the incidence of youth related crime; increasing awareness of the risks of substance misuse. As Hertfordshire’s first Community Interest Company, our not for profit model enables us to achieve our aims in the most effective way and to reinvest any surplus back into the community.


Youth Diversion – partnership projects targeted to create positive activities for 11-19 year olds, and reduce anti-social behaviour, youth related crime and substance misuse. Play – collaborating with local authorities to offer an extensive programme of outdoor play activities during the school holidays in urban and rural settings. Schools – providing high quality delivery of a wide range of sports and performing arts programmes from Reception to Year 13. These can be sports specific, include a choice of dance styles, and cheerleading. Training programmes to up skill teachers to deliver higher quality PE, and encourage physical literacy. Consultancy – leading projects with our unique approach in capturing and analysing young people’s views about a choice of issues that directly affect them. Alternative Provision 14 to 16 - Specific programmes designed for schools to meet the needs of this group, incorporating life skills development, teamwork and personal development opportunities. Events – providing team building and personal development opportunities to help achieve organisational outcomes for small, medium and large corporations.
