Objectives

We support families on the autism spectrum, including Aspergers Syndrome, whether diagnosed or not living in Cheshire.

Our mission statement is to enable individuals with Autism Spectrum Condition (whether diagnosed or not), and their families, to achieve their potential through the provision of support, education and advice.

For parents we run monthly support meetings, training and social events and a busy Facebook group.

For children we run a range of activities, including swimming, youth clubs, kidz club, pony riding and animal interaction.

We also operate the Attention Card scheme, in conjunction with Cheshire Police, NW Ambulance and Cheshire Fire.

Activities

During the last year we have welcomed our first Patrons - Anna Kennedy OBE and Susan Nickson. In 2015 we produced our first set of Social Accounts and this year we introduced a new advocacy service for our members.  We also began autism awareness sessions at assemblies in local schools, to teach children and staff all about autism and how it might affect children in their school.

We do regular monitoring and evaluation, both to find out what difference our service is making to our members and to ask for comments and suggestions to help us improve and see what other services and activities our members would like us to deliver.
