Objectives

Chelmsford Sea Cadets supports young people to gain skills and confidence through nautical and challenging training based on the customs and traditions of the Royal Navy. Our cadets gain recognised qualifications and key life skills in a progressive training programme focussed on individual needs and achievements.

Activities

We provide training sessions twice per week as well as numerous opportunities to conduct training at weekends or in school holidays. Cadets have access to a variety of activities on the water and off the water. Examples are sailing, powerboating, first aid, engineering, expedition skills and much much more. We raise money to support cadets to access courses that lead to recognised qualifications as well as providing all the kit and equipment they need such as rucksacks and camping equipment.
