The Cheadle Heath Community Association manages the Rose Walker Community Centre, a hidden gem located in a beautiful park and just a few minutes from the Trans Pennine Way. We serve our local community by offering a range of groups and are open to all ages. We want to encourage our local community to keep active, to connect with each other through the opportunities we offer so that social isolation is reduced, and to take more ownership of their space by getting involved in a potential Friends group for the local park.
We offer a range of groups, such as dance, football for children, yoga, slimming classes, support through gamblers anonymous and our very successful community drop in, Friendly Fridays. Friendly Fridays is open to all ages and is a wonderful way of bringing generations together, reducing social isolation and improving wellbeing.. We are keen to include the local community is improving the park outside the centre, and have already brought the football area back up to a good standard.
