Charlie Chaplin Adventure Playground is an inclusive specialist play service. Our beneficiaries’ are children and young people with a range of special educational needs and disabilities. We also offer space for siblings and local children to play. We work with young people aged 5-19 who live in the London Boroughs of Lambeth and Southwark. We currently work with over 600 families.
Our core service consists of after school clubs, Saturday sessions and holiday play schemes for 5-12 year olds. We also offer weekly youth activities and holiday play schemes for our older users 13-19 year olds.
We have a large outside play space that includes a number of large adventure play structures. Our inside space consists of a soft play area and sensory room as well as access to a music suite.
Daily activities are provided in consultation and discussions with the children that attend - they tell us what they want to do!
We also take the children on a number of offsite trips and positive activities
We have a large team of play workers who support most of the children on a 1:1 ratio. We have a small core team and our board of Trustees is currently made up of 7 individuals.
