Chance UK matches volunteer adult mentors with children between the ages of 5-11 years old with behavioural difficulties. The mentoring programme is structured and lasts for one year. The programme increases confidence and self-esteem, broadens horizons, raises aspirations and teaches new life skills thereby enabling our children to overcome problems, improve their behaviour, imagine a better future and form better relationships.
Each child is carefully paired with a mentor, and the two meet weekly for a year, for fun outings and problem-free time. During sessions, the mentor helps the child develop the confidence and personal and social skills which will help them deal with difficulties and build a brighter future. We provide full training and support throughout the mentoring process and the skills you will develop as a mentor are invaluable.
