Objectives

Centre 404 is a charity that offers friendly, reliable and person centred support to people with a learning disability and their families in north London. It was founded in 1951 by carers of children with learning disabilities and continues to work towards building a community and a society where people with learning disabilities are valued and involved members of our community.

Over the years, Centre 404 has built vital services that have enabled children and adults with a learning disability and their families to lead independent lives, have a voice and access activities and support.

Activities

Our housing service offers practical support to help people live independently. Some of these people live in the community, and others live in supported houses offering care round the clock.

Our learning and leisure team run activities and clubs for both children and adults, creating opportunities to try new things and make friends in a safe environment.

Our supporting families department offer support to family carers, who for example, may struggle to access the right support for their needs, or  be unaware of the choices open to the person they care for.
