Objectives

Off Centre supports the mental health and well-being needs of young people aged 11-25 in east London. Our services help young people with wide-ranging and increasingly complex mental health and related issues, including depression, anxiety, self-harm, bereavement, family breakdown, domestic violence, abuse, gender and sexuality.

Activities

With a 40 year track record of helping local young people, we provide a range of counselling, therapy and psychosocial services. These include one-to-one and group therapy, art therapy, drama therapy, advice and information and peer mentoring. Our services are delivered in our centre in Hackney and in a variety of outreach settings.

We combine our psychotherapeutic work (counselling, art and drama therapy) with psychosocial support as people presenting with mental health needs will also often have other support needs which impact on their mental health and wellbeing. Our advice and information work encompasses casework in accessing employment, training, housing, benefits and a wide range of other issues.

We help over 500 young people annually and add value to the services of statutory partners through formal and informal partnerships and networks.
