Objectives

The Central London Careers Hub is dedicated to supporting young people in central London as they explore their career options and make informed decisions about their future. We do this by providing access to a range of resources and opportunities, such as careers advice, workshops, and industry volunteers. We also work closely with stakeholders from all sectors and schools to help them develop and implement effective, industry-informed careers and enterprise plans.

Activities

  • Providing strategic support to careers leaders to help students explore potential careers and make informed decisions about their education and training, with a focus on connecting students with opportunities in local industries.
  • Connecting school leaders and professional volunteers to ensure careers provision is industry informed and aligned to labour market trends.
  • Partnering with businesses to offer work insight days, work experience placements, workshops, careers talks and individual volunteering opportunities, supporting businesses to fulfil their social value objectives,
  • Providing access to online career development resources and tools for teachers and school staff to use with students, with a focus on opportunities in local industries
  • Offering career exploration activities and workshops for students to help them learn about different industries and careers in the local area, and connecting students with industry professionals who can share their experiences and insights.
