Objectives

Castle View Academy provides state-funded secondary school education (Ages 11 to 16) to children of the Paulsgrove community in North Portsmouth. This community is one of the more economically challenged in the country and the provision of an excellent educational experience, generating ambitious outcomes in progress and qualifications, is and will continue to play a significant part in regenerating the community by maximising students' life chances and opportunities.

Activities

By focusing on an ambitious development and improvement plan through the basics of:
- excellent, engaging quality teaching of a coordinated, sequenced and relevant curriculum
- ensuring high levels of attendance from all students
- providing a calm, undisrupted learning environment
- maintaining efficient and effective deployment of resources to ensure long term sustainability and maximum impact
- modelling leadership and ambition to generate high aspirations and maximum engagement from all students
- ensuring all students, whatever their capability when joining the Academy, have the opportunity to maximise their progress and
   outcomes,
students' overall progress and outcomes are maximised, building strong foundations for the post-16 stage of their educational journey, whether academic or vocational and equipping them with the drive and ambition from which to develop successful and fulfilling lives and careers.
