We mainly support people with learning disabilities in Wales. We are an innovative organisation that encourages the people we support, its employees and members of the community to be in control of one of Wales’ largest support providers. We celebrate everyone’s contribution. We build community. We co-operate.
We believe in people, communities, and all the positive attitudes and behaviours that make for individual happiness and social wellbeing. Our core purpose is to enable the people we support to enjoy a good life.
Research has shown that most people describe a good life in similar ways: good health, a secure home, positive relationships, being in control, and making a contribution. Our support services are geared towards enabling people to achieve these things.
Our approach is to find out and understand what matters to people as individuals and to support them to live the good life that they want, in their way.
Supported Living Supporting people with learning disabilities or autism to live as tenants in their own home is the biggest area of our work. This involves providing registered domiciliary care and housing related support, usually on a 24/7 basis.
Sessional And Floating Support Our sessional support services are geared towards people who have care or support needs but do not need staff on a 24/7 basis.
Short Breaks We have a number of options for enabling people to enjoy a holiday with staff support.
Home Care Cartrefi is delighted to be part of a collaboration with Gwynedd Council to transform the way home care is experienced by the people receiving support.
