Care Network operates across Blackburn with Darwen (BwD). We support vulnerable adults of all ages to live independent lives by providing access to affordable, accessible and quality assured everyday services. Our customers include many older people, people with a physical disability or learning disability, and people with a mental health problem.
Our vision is for informed, empowered, resilient, independent and healthy individuals and communities. To achieve this we have 3 distinct areas of operation:
1 Care Network Hub – a single point of access /central hub for all, providing information and access to relevant health and well being options so that people can make informed choices about their lives.
2 Home Improvement Agency (HIA) – providing a range of services (including a local safe trader scheme) that ensures that people are safe, healthy and independent in their homes. As the local HIA we are dedicated to helping people live in safety and with dignity at home.
3 Community Connections – to improve resilience of individuals and communities, through prevention and early action via a coordinated holistic approach and joined up locality partnership working.
Care Network is an independent charity based in and operating across Blackburn with Darwen. Our vision is for informed, empowered, resilient, independent and healthy individuals and communities in the local area.
We aspire to be the leader in connecting people with quality services and information that helps local residents to make informed choices and that enables them to live independent, healthy and safe lives.
Care Network is now at an important stage of our development and we are seeking to grow our board of trustees. We want to fulfil our potential as an innovative Home Improvement Agency, building on our established safe trader scheme, and we also want to develop our central information hub that provides access to relevant health and wellbeing options, so that people can live a better life.
