Objectives

CanalAbility are an award-winning charity dedicated to providing the facilities for people with a wide range of disabilities, health conditions or anyone experiencing disadvantages, to enjoy boating on the river on specially adapted canal boats.

Activities

Our two purpose-built, fully centrally heated and accessible broad beam boats enable everyone to take a full and active part in the boating experience all year round. The boats have wet rooms, disability toilets, ramps, lifts, hoist points and fully equipped galleys for preparing meals.

Embark on a delightful 4-hour day trip, immersing yourself in the beauty of the Essex and Hertfordshire countryside while exploring the River Stort . Everyone is encouraged to try steering the boat and operating the locks. It is also an opportunity to simply unwind and watch the flora, fauna, wildlife and the world go by.
