Objectives

Camphill Wakefield offers young people with moderate to severe and complex learning disabilities the opportunity to develop skills for the next stages of their lives.

Like all Camphill communities, we take a holistic, therapeutic approach. We believe that all people are equally deserving of respect and should have the opportunity to develop their full potential.

Activities

Our College Campus in Wakefield is at the heart of 56 acres of fields and woodland which backs onto a nature reserve and country park. At its centre are five student houses, together with craft workshops, movement spaces, meeting rooms and learning spaces. Our land supports a working farm, with cows, pigs, sheep, hens and some other small animals. The college garden is two acres of vegetable and flower gardens, including greenhouses, raised beds and orchards.
