Objectives

The Cambridge Money Advice Centre is open to help anyone who find themselves in need of help with managing their personal debts. We work in the Cambridge area offering free confidential face to face advice and support to those who have recognised their debt situation is no longer sustainable. In doing this we release our clients and their families from what can appear to be impossible to manage situations, offering them a hope for their future.

Activities

Two advisers meet with each client over a number of meetings to understand their situation, a financial statement is drawn up and information on their debts taken. Based on this the advisers suggest which routes are available to the client. Where appropriate, using the  financial statements we have created, we liaise with creditors and set payment plans or we help our clients apply for one of a number of insolvency solutions. We then continue to support our clients for as long as they request it, possibly over a number of years. Our centre also offers budget coaching to help with the general managing of money.
