Objectives

Cambridge & Ely Child Contact Centres support families who are going through difficult circumstances due to divorce or separation. In particular we help to prevent children from losing contact with a parent they no longer live with. Evidence suggests that where such contact is lost, children fare less well in their lives, their emotional well being is harmed, and this has knock on effects on their educational and social progress. The contact centres help children to retain the link with the non resident parent and encourage the parents to make longer term arrangements in the child's best interests.

Activities

We provide a secure and neutral meeting place where children can have contact with a non-resident parent, with the aim of building sufficient trust to enable the parents to make their own contact arrangements in future.
