Objectives

Cambridge Cyrenians provides accommodation and support for single, homeless, men and women in Cambridge. We provide accommodation for 92 individuals in 20 projects across the city. Cambridge Cyrenians offers accommodation in small shared houses rather than large hostels and expects all residents to contribute to the day to day running of each house. Cyrenians accommodates approximately 40-50 new residents each year, with the majority going on to manage their own tenancy with support from our outreach services.  In addition to our supported housing we have an inhouse Mental Health Practitioner, employment and training support, therapeutic allotment project and an older homeless outreach support service supporting a further 45 individuals in the community.

Activities

A small staff team, supported by volunteers work with a group of homeless men and women to help them address issues around their physical and mental health, substance misuse, debt, offending behaviour, access to work and volunteering etc. Cyrenians provides specialist housing for ex-offenders and women.
