Objectives

Cambridge Cancer Help Centre was founded in 1986 and now has a large and growing membership. The Centre offers support to anyone with cancer (or other chronic or life-threatening conditions) together with their families, carers and friends. Although the Centre offers a range of complementary therapies, we do not provide medical advice or treatment.

Activities

Our offering includes:

  • a range of complementary therapies from qualified therapists
  • thriving art, craft and nutrition groups (amongst others)
  • regular social activities
  • self-management courses, in particular the Macmillan HOPE course and the Expert Patient Programme
  • support groups for those with specific cancers
  • a well-stocked library of books and pamphlets
