Objectives

Our objectives are:

•To provide positive leisure activities including sport and community classes.

•To develop a volunteering programme including horticultural training and work placements.

•To provide access to sports coaching qualifications and sports development programmes for children and young adults

•To provide sustainable food growing space and programmes of environmental education.

•To develop supervised activities for children aged 0-14 and their families.

•To encourage the integration of diverse cultures.

Our outcomes are:

•Increased numbers of local children and young people engaged in positive leisure and sports activities.

•Increased skills and confidence of participants and service users to access work, mainstream education or training.

•Improved health and wellbeing.

•Increased skills and awareness of food growing using organic methods.

•Improved community cohesion.

 

Activities

Our main activities, services and facilities include:

  • An early years and under 5s drop in centre
  • A horticultural volunteer and trainee programme
  • An environmental education and food growing project
  • A sports development programme
  • A football pitch and viewing area for hire
  • A garden and outdoor event space for hire
  • Indoor meeting rooms for hire
  • Children's' play area and play structures
