Objectives

Building Circles works to transform lives of people with learning disabilities, encouraging friendships and providing a social platform so that those who are isolated or lonely benefit as much as everyone else.

We believe everybody deserves the opportunity to have and make friends.

Our primary focus as a charity is to offer friendship and support to people across Gloucestershire with learning disabilities who are socially isolated and lonely.

Activities

We do this with the amazing help from our team of volunteers who give a few hours of their time a month to offer friendship to people with learning disabilities, who are often lonely or isolated.

This may involve simply visiting to have a cup of tea, going for a walk, going shopping, or popping to the pub for a drink and a game of pool - all the normal things in life that friends do together.

In addition we also offer a wide range of activities and events throughout the year - which usually include: Boat trips, Summer Fun Day, Barn Dance, Disco, Skittles and our Xmas Party, which has become very popular.
