At BuildAid, we provide specialist construction aid in the form of design expertise, cost planning and project management. We deliver permanent new-build and re-construction projects for people in desperate need around the world. We combine our construction skills, oversight and experience to ensure our projects are highly functional, maximise on value and last the community a lifetime.
We have developed a model where we work with non-profit partner organisations including other NGOs, community self-help groups and local education and health authorities. This allows hands-on involvement by the beneficiaries encouraging ownership of the project, long-term sustainability and capacity building.
BuildAid has successfully assisted communities on four continents with the provision of medical, education and welfare infrastructure including:
- Clinic buildings, surgeries and hospitals
- School buildings and children’s WASH facilities with integrated educational programmes
- Shelters for children and adults rescued from abuse and exploitation
- Safe and sustainable water provision from boreholes, wells and creation of new aquifers on seasonal rivers
- Sustainable energy solutions, utilising solar power and microgeneration
