Objectives

The WI offers friendship, community support, educational opportunities, new activities and fun.  The Bucks Federation of WIs started in 1920, 101 years ago, although our very first WI began life in Ivinghoe  in 1917.  We have grown and changed since then and now form a large supportive network for all women in Buckinghamshire and Milton Keynes, with 106 WIs and around 4000 members. Each WI is unique and reflects its members.

Activities

We organise educational events and travel opportunities, covering science, arts and literature, new and traditional crafts.  We campaign on issues concerning food, farming and the environment, women's education, health and wellbeing, and the engagement of women in public life and their communities.
